What to expect?
A fully catered residential holiday in a comfortable hotel. Taster workshops on many different crafts as well as daily music workshops and evening ceilidhs. Free WiFi in hotel. NB single supplement of £75 applies due to hotel requirements.
Music
For those that want to join the music workshops and play from the dots, David has made the music available on his website here. Look at the section of tunes at the bottom of the webpage. Most of the tunes are already available, including B-flat versions for clarinet etc. David will add a contents page and final tunes in December 2019. David will also use ‘Play in the Band’ for evening dances if you want to make music for the dancing.
Location
The Paddocks Hotel is set in the spectacular Symonds Yat Valley on the River Wye. The hotel has en-suite bedrooms. We shall use the enormous ballroom for music and dancing and also some of the workshops. The lounge will be used as the second workshop space. The Hotel also has a dining room and two bars. In addition to Symonds Yat itself there are some wonderful walks along the Wye and in the Forest of Dean which is close by. Historic MONMOUTH is only 5 miles away and HEREFORD, HAY on WYE (famous for its bookshops) and GLOUCESTER are all worth taking a short journey to visit.
