What to expect? – What is the “Knees-up Weekender”?

The Knees-up Weekender is a camp designed to attract and accommodate young-adult campers who are either already folk campers, or who are completely new and want an opportunity to experience what it’s about without jumping straight into a week-long camp.

This self-catered, weekend hall camp will capture the unique communal aspects of folk camps we know and love – music-making, dancing, games, and socialising – whilst also offering late morning starts and later night knees-up evenings to accommodate the campers who seek lively evenings and nights.

Situated at the lovely Little Horwood Village Hall with a local pub and proximity to Milton Keynes, makes the camp ideal to travel to regardless of where our campers are based.

It’s a great chance to invite those friends who you think will grow to love folk camps, as well as for those who are looking for an extra dose of the folk camps fun before the summer programme kicks off.

The camping is on the recreation field, with facilities in the village hall including a kitchen and showers. It is next door to a pub who are happy to host a music session, and who serve pizzas!

This event starts on Friday afternoon/evening and continues until Sunday lunchtime.

Sorry, no under-18s at this event.
